This expansive Bethesda, MD project transformed a traditional home into a French countryside-inspired retreat, seamlessly blending personal sanctuaries with vibrant gathering spaces. The comprehensive renovation encompassed both interior and exterior, including a custom-built garage, pavilion, and reconstructed pool. Over seven types of stone, including unique frontier flagstone with fossilized impressions, were artfully incorporated throughout. Flowing curves and a rich plant palette echo the French aesthetic, while light pea gravel paths and rustic veneer stone wall caps are transportive of the European countryside. Inside, decorative stone walls and fireplaces continue the theme. The result is a classically elegant space designed to mature gracefully, offering serene spots for reflection alongside areas for lively entertainment.
