President & Principal Landscape Architect

D. Blake Dunlevy, PLA

President & Principal Landscape Architect

The roots of Blake’s education reach back to a childhood that was soaked in the green industry and guided by the hand of his father, one of the industry’s great craftsmen and standard-bearers. Blake officially began his career as a designer and apprentice for his father in 2004, after studying Landscape Architecture at West Virginia University - the place where his true passion for design was fostered and given outlet. A determined pursuit of understanding - paired with a knowledge base that began forming early in life - has turned Blake into one of the mostly widely proficient Landscape Architects in our region. His competencies extend past the bounds of landscape design into the fields of arboriculture, construction design, advanced drainage and foundation waterproofing systems, pool construction and beyond. Blake’s vast expertise in multiple disciplines makes him an invaluable mentor to our staff, while his thoughtful creativity and careful attention to detail make him an incredible designer for our customers.
Blake officially assumed the role of President of D. A. Dunlevy in 2016. As President, Blake manages quality control, project efficiency, design strategy, and team development. Though he wears many hats, Landscape Architecture and Design are the foundation of each project and Blake personally guides each one through that process. Whether it involves visioning from a blank canvas, enhancing an existing environment, or maintaining a legacy garden, Blake’s philosophy always beckons us to start with good design.

Tracy Meekins

Landscape Designer

Tracy joined our administrative team in 2012 with a degree in Interpersonal and Organizational Communications from Salisbury University. Her talents quickly proved to be further reaching than anyone could have imagined when she walked through the door. Tracy found herself enmeshed in nearly every aspect of the company before long. Her development into a talented designer came through a tenacious commitment to learn through every opportunity and capitalize on every experience - a process that has found her on the creative end of the designer’s pencil, the businessperson’s end of a contractual agreement, the operator's end of earth moving equipment, and everything in between. Through her wide range of experiences, a budding young talent has grown into a skilled and resourceful designer that is astute beyond her years. She has displayed a knack for creating and evaluating landscape designs that translates into beautiful, functional, and healthy outdoor living spaces for our customers.

He is a true craftsman, and his selfless contributions have earned him many accolades from the team and our customers.

Amelia King

Project Coordinator

Amelia King

Project Coordinator

Amelia joined our team as Project Coordinator in April 2021 and quickly became one of the most valuable additions we have made in recent years. She has demonstrated a dedication to her work and a progress-focused orientation that has made workflow smoother for our team and the process so much more pleasant for the end user, our customers. Amelia joined the team and brought with her extensive experience in administrative work, supporting executives and managing office operations.

In her role as Project Coordinator Amelia is responsible creating seamless project execution for both our production team as well as our customers. This means she guides and oversees material sourcing, inventory and schedule management, client communication, facility organization, client invoicing, and so much more. It is rare that a person can join an organization and add such value so immediately; her ability to be a detailed, proactive team player who can easily juggle multiple projects and keep track of different deadlines is what makes her so valuable currently and so exciting when we consider her continued growth in the future.

Sydni Reinhold

Marketing and Tree Program Coordinator

Sydni Reinhold

Marketing and Tree Program Coordinator

Sydni joined our team in 2022 and has quickly  demonstrated what you get when you blend a sharp intellect, with a love for the environment, an infectiously charismatic personality, and a determination to learn and grow. Armed with a degree in Biology that concentrated on Ecology and Environmental Biology, a minor in Math, and experience working at the Baltimore National Aquarium as well as a Research Assistant for Virginia Stream and Fish Wildlife, Sydni has proven to be the perfect lead for our team fulfilling the Montgomery County Tree Canopy plantings. As the Tree Program Coordinator Sydni orchestrates the sourcing, inspection, customer interface, and installation of thousands of trees every year throughout Montgomery County. Her mindfulness of all the details, mixed with her ability to balance the multiple complexities associated with such a large annual undertaking, produce the effect of a well-oiled tree planting machine.

In addition to her responsibilities as our Tree Program Coordinator, Sydni also brings a creative eye and exciting approach to our Marketing and Social Media presence. She creates and manages much of our public facing image and has injected our marketing approach with fresh content and new ways to showcase our craftsmanship.

Erin Riley

Office Administrator

Erin Riley

Office Administrator

Erin was welcomed to D. A. Dunlevy in December 2019 as an Office Administrator but her role in the years since has taken on a dramatically different nature; given the pandemic and the changing workflow and location of key staff members, Erin has come to embody a role that resembles connective tissue. As the central node to much of the operation, Erin connects and coordinates key staff from all different departments and has become the communication connect point for many staff and customers as well.

Erin joined us with an extensive background in client services and office coordination, but it is her willingness to assist all of her teammates, no matter what the assignment, that has proven to be the quality that makes her such an invaluable member of our team.  Whether it’s coordinating our fleet, client relations, permitting, payables, receivables, or anything and everything in between, Erin both leads and supports the team on levels that would be nearly impossible to quantify. She is eager to learn all aspects of the company and industry, and her ability to balance all of her responsibilities, as well as facilitate the team, is second to none. We are so excited to have Erin on our team and can’t wait to see what the future holds for her career with us.

Ever Rodriguez

Maintenance Production Manager

Ever Rodriguez

Maintenance Production Manager

Ever Rodriguez came to us in 2007, and rapidly mastered the techniques of planting and pruning. He managed a crew for several years in our Maintenance division and honed his skills even more, which led to his role as Maintenance Production Manager. Ever currently manages our residential and D.C. maintenance crews, and works closely with Tracy to guarantee the highest level of service and satisfaction for our maintenance customers.

Patrisha Daugherty

Maintenance Administrator

Patrisha Daugherty

Maintenance Administrator

Patrisha joined our Administrative team in 2017 filling the role of Landscape and Construction Administrator. It didn’t take long for Patrisha to reveal that she possessed so many of the qualities that have made our culture what it is; Patrisha is versatile, dedicated, and cares deeply about making sure that everything she touches is done with excellence. Her qualities paired with her 20+ years of administrative and accounting experience made her the perfect fit to slide into the administration of our maintenance division, as well as our lighting and irrigation team, several years ago. She has genuinely made her current role her own as she has taken over much of the scheduling coordination, client interaction, material sourcing, and greenhouse management, in addition to all of the contract administration and invoicing. Beyond all that, the other amazing talent that Patrisha has brought to the team is impeccable design sense in the arena of annual flower selection and seasonal color displays. With Patrisha, both left brain and right brain come together to create a great talent that completes our truly world-class maintenance division from top to bottom.

Our experience could not have been better, as D. A. Dunlevy surpassed even our high expectations. They did an admirable job on the construction, their engineering and stone work were excellent, and they came up with ingenious solutions for the few inevitable onsite problems. They set the bar high, take pride in what they do, and operate with a level of integrity that is, sadly, increasingly uncommon today.

Janet Hirshberg, Washington, DC

We just wanted to send a note of thanks for the beautiful job you did with our landscape project! We are so happy with the final result. Your team should be commended for their hard work, neatness, efficiency, courtesy, skill, care and conscientiousness. The whole design is really a work of art that is functional as well as beautiful…we feel like we are at a resort!

Tim & Brenda Arcano, Damascus, MD

D. A. Dunlevy did the unthinkable of turning my hilly undesirable backyard into a beautiful open space. They designed and installed a beautiful landscaped area and friends who saw it before could not believe it was the same yard. I would recommend D. A. Dunlevy to anyone who needs landscaping done to their home. Large or small they give the same detailed attention to every project! A great company to work with!

Jeff & Louise O’Berry, McLean, VA

All of your crews, supervisors, and crew members were hardworking and courteous. The job site was always in good order, left neat at the end of the day. Thanks for a great job. It came out better than expected.

John & Vikki Clayton, Barnesville, MD
