The Bradshaw residence is a perfect example of why every site is truly unique. Their custom home sits on 1.5 acres of wide-open land in the rolling hills of upper Montgomery County. However, a septic easement from a neighboring property precluded any construction within the rear yard. This meant that there was only one possible location for a full size swimming pool and outdoor living space: an overlooked, sloped section of the right side yard. Through a design by committee process, our design team: David Dunlevy, Blake Dunlevy, and Gina Benincasa formulated a plan to maximize living space using a terraced approach through a series of retaining walls. The custom plantings blend the new space into the surrounding hillside while also providing seasonal interest and privacy screening.
